Il Makiage Woke up Like This Flawless Base Foundation

The Instagram videos are amazing so I had high expectations of this foundation (as an MUA my standards are exceptionally high to achieve amazing results for my clients). And it’s a premium price at £39.

I wanted this to be my next Bridal foundation kit staple!

I purchased online and the shade selector is easy to use, accurate and I was super happy with the shade when it arrived, it suited my skin tone perfectly.

It sits nicely with the skin, with no visible layer; it looks like skin, but it didn’t make my skin look better, like the adverts suggest.

It’s what I would call a natural soft finish, not glowy or matte and my skin looked okay, but not amazing.

I like a medium coverage for myself and I did achieve this with a couple of layer applications using my Real Techniques Expert Face brush to buff a flawless base. It is the most buildable foundation I’ve ever tried, going from fairly sheer to medium coverage, it doesn’t make full coverge in my opinion.

Sadly it doesnt stay on my skin particularly well so I definitely need to apply a primer underneath for longevity.
It also ‘settled’ in my lines which is a big no-no for me and anyone with mature skin.

I definitely need to add an illuminating primer to make this look glowing and radiant and last longer.

For me this foundation is okay but not amazing, which I would want and expect from the price tag.

It won’t be making an appearance in my kit.
